How Do Clinicians Order Custom Orthotics From MM Podiatry?
Complete the prescription form, send your foam impression or slipper cast by post, and receive your device/s within ten working days.
Select your patient and document your key findings — diagnosis, main pain area, structural and functional assessment, footwear, and primary goals.
Not sure a custom orthotic is the right call? Send us a brief case summary or book a 20-minute call, and we’ll give you our honest opinion.
Take your slipper cast, foam impression box or scan. See the ‘Clinical Resource’ page for help with any of these capture methods.
Complete the prescription form with your chosen route: by pathology (e.g., plantar heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy, tibialis posterior dysfunction, etc), by device type (e.g., by pathology, by sport, by device), or fully bespoke (you specify all parameters).
The prescription form integrates with Cliniko, Jane, SimplePractice, and Power Diary.
Package your foam impression box or slipper cast securely with your patient’s unique identifier and post to our lab. Alternatively upload your scan when completing the prescription form.
Fit the device and make minor chairside adjustments as needed. Book a review with your patient at two to four weeks for comfort, function, and footwear. At six to eight weeks, assess longer-term changes in pain and function.
If something is not working as expected, let us know — we will work through the next steps with you.
