The Process

Custom orthotics. Digital rehabilitation. Structured return to activity – one joined-up lower limb MSK system.

MM Podiatry: for clinicians who want to take their patients further than the orthotic, from first presentation to full return to activity.

Got a Patient Whose Foot Pain Isn’t Improving?

You’ve tried footwear advice. Maybe an over-the-counter insole. The pain settled, then came back. Or they arrived wearing the insole you prescribed two years ago, not sure why, with the same problem they started with.

The orthotic did its job. It modified the load around the injured tissue. What it couldn’t do alone was restore the tissue’s capacity to handle that load — or bridge the gap between symptom resolution and full recovery.

That is the prescribe-and-forget cycle. The predictable result of care that stops at the orthotic device.

MM Podiatry solves this problem. We connect custom made, 3D-printed orthotics, digital rehabilitation, and structured return to activity into one integrated lower limb MSK system, designed to help you take your patients the full distance… from first presentation to full, durable recovery.

HOW IT WORKS

Why Combine Custom Orthotics, Rehabilitation, and Return-to-activity Support?

Custom orthotics. Digital rehabilitation. Structured return to activity – one joined-up lower limb MSK system.

Custom orthotics modify load distribution. Rehabilitation rebuilds the tissue’s capacity through progressive loading. Structured return to activity confirms that capacity holds under real-world demands. Together, this evidence-informed system addresses each failure point that conventional care leaves unsolved.

Reduce Load

Custom orthotics modify load distribution, reducing the demand on injured tissue and creating the conditions for recovery. Yet, orthotics are the just start of your patient’s journey to recovery…

Build Capacity

Progressive lower limb rehabilitation rebuilds the tissue’s capacity to handle load – the step that orthotics alone cannot take.

Restore Function

Structured return to activity confirms that capacity holds in your patient’s real life – their work, sport, and daily activities.

“Together, the orthotics and digital rehab pathways have made our MSK care feel more joined‑up and professional. We spend less time on admin and workarounds and more time delivering a complete journey from overload and pain to restored function and confidence.”Marie Young, Senior Podiatrist & Practice Owner

How Does the MM Podiatry System Work?

MM Podiatry: for clinicians who want to take their patients further than the orthotic, from first presentation to full return to activity.

You send us your first case. We review the prescription together, explaining the reasoning before custom orthotic manufacture begins.

Your patient receives their 3D printed custom orthotic. Condition-specific rehab aid bundles — resistance bands, wobble boards, sliders, and more — can be added to any orthotic order and shipped directly to your patient or to your clinic.

You prescribe and monitor lower limb rehabilitation through RehabHub 3D.

When your patient is ready, you direct them to a return-to-activity pathway matched to their goals.

Your patient returns to full, durable function — ready for the demands of their work, sport, and daily life.

Common Questions About the MM Podiatry System

Custom orthotics, digital rehab, and return to activity pathways

You can start with an orthotic, and most clinicians do. The system is designed to be adopted progressively. Custom orthotics change how forces pass through the foot and lower limb, reducing the demand on injured tissue and creating the conditions in which recovery can begin.

But, orthotics cannot restore your patient’s tissue capacity. Without structured rehabilitation, the tissue stays dependent on the device. Without an appropriate return to activity pathway, your patient could be one bad week away from being back in your clinic.

After a clinician sends their first case, we confirm receipt and check for missing information. We contact you if anything is unclear before manufacture begins. Standard turnaround is ten working days from approval.

MM Podiatry also offers a library of downloadable clinical education materials, as well as patient information, to all clinicians as part of the standard offer.

Yes. Prescribe-by-pathology routes and collaborative first cases are designed to help you if you are new to the custom orthotic prescribing process.
No, you don’t need special software or equipment to order custom orthotics with MM Podiatry or to use the MM Podiatry system. The prescription form integrates with your existing practice management system. RehabHub 3D runs through an app. Return-to-activity programmes are delivered digitally.
No, there is no minimum commitment. Many clinicians start with three to five collaborative cases.
MM Podiatry tracks patient outcomes through routine follow-ups. Every order placed triggers an automated eight-week follow-up for the clinician and a six-month follow-up for the patient, building an outcomes record from day one, without any extra admin.
