Common Patient Questions
Answers to common patient questions…
How long does it take to break in 3D printed orthotics?
Most patients are comfortable wearing their orthotics for most of the day by the end of week two, following a gradual break-in schedule. Full-day wear is usually comfortable from week three onwards.
When should a patient contact their clinician?
What should patients do alongside orthotic use?
Alongside orthotic use, advise your patient to follow the prescribed rehabilitation programme. They should wear the orthotics in appropriate footwear, with a secure heel, and enough depth and length to accommodate the device. They should also attend scheduled reviews with their clinician.
