What support does MM Podiatry offer for prescribing custom-made orthotics?

MM Podiatry supports clinicians at every stage of prescribing confidence, with a structured onboarding process and ongoing clinical support that meets you where you are – from the first order.

  • Onboarding includes a 20-minute call to understand your caseload and workflow, integration of the prescription form into your practice management system, and pre-built RehabHub 3D protocols for your most common presentations.
  • Ongoing support includes collaborative first case review, a clinical query route for in-clinic questions, chair-side adjustment guidance, clinical guidance materials and information to give to your patients, and a 60-day clinical fit guarantee backed by a 30-day workmanship guarantee.

For podiatrists earlier in their orthotic prescribing journey, our prescribe-by-pathology option removes the need to specify every design parameter — you select a presentation and receive an evidence-informed orthotic recommendation. You can also use the following prescription routes:

  • Prescribe by quick select options – choose a device family such as by pathology, by sport or by device.  When you know the functional outcome you are prescribing for but want us to handle the specific design.
  • Fully bespoke — full control over shell profile, posting, additions, and top cover. Build from your clinical findings and specify every parameter. Collaborative prescription review is available on request. prescribe-by-device-type (e.g., Control, Control +, Sports), or go fully bespoke once you feel more confident.

Prescribe-by-pathology is an ordering route that lets you select a common presentation — plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tibialis posterior dysfunction, and more — and receive an evidence-informed device recommendation. You do not need to specify every design parameter.

No. Prescribe-by-pathology routes and collaborative first cases are designed for clinicians earlier in their prescribing journey.

Dedicated support is available throughout the prescribing process. Send a brief case summary before prescribing if you are unsure whether orthotic treatment is indicated, and we give an honest view. Practical clinical education resources are available from onboarding, including provider guides, a foam impression guide, and an adjustment pathway reference.
